View Full Version : OpenGL specular highlights

I have been importing various models constructed from quadric primitives into 2.68 and SimpleLite example of 2.70.1. I can get the lighting working fine, but there seems to be some anomalie with specular reflection. In many of the examples there is the option to change the specular and shinines values, but this appears to have little or no effect or the highlight continues to appear on the edge of a spherical object no matter what the viewer orientation. It does not seem to belong to any light source. Does anyone have any clues? I am using MacOS 10.3.3 on a Powerbook.

Also would like some recommendations for HMDs for Apple Macs.
