Position: PhD Student
Amit is a doctoral candidate at the HITLab NZ. His research interests are centered around spatial audio reproduction and wearable computing, particularly focused on the use of spatial audio reproduction in wearable hybrid interfaces.
Amit has come to the lab after a brief stint at the Digital Media and Arts Research Centre (DMARC), University of Limerick where he was involved in research related to spatial audio reproduction across various formats and the techniques employed for the delivery of audio.
Amit is also an experienced sound designer and audio engineer, having worked for a number of years in theatre, films and with a host of bands as both a recording and live sound engineer.
