HIT Lab NZ Ltd. is a commercial entity established through a joint venture between the University of Canterbury, the Canterbury Development Corporation, and the University of Washington.
While the company operates independently of the HIT Lab Research Centre, it provides a channel for intellectual property developed in the research centre to be commercialised. In addition, the company actively pursues additional technology partnerships and relationships with channel partners to create sustainable commercial propositions in the markets relevant to the overall groups capabilities.
