Raphaël is a research scientist at the HIT Lab NZ. He joined the lab in June 2004, after his Phd in Computer Science at ARTIS (ex-iMAGIS Lab) at Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble (France). During his PhD he worked on collaborative augmented reality in tabletop meeting situation.

His research interests include: 3D Interaction, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Virtual Reality, CHI, User Evaluation, CSCW, TUI, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision.

Raphaël's personal interests include traveling around the world and magnificent New Zealand, meeting new people but also learning about globalization or doing a bit of juggling. During his spare time in New Zealand he has been exploring the country, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, and bungee jumping.
