Hartmut SeichterFrom HIT Lab NZPost-Doctoral Fellow
Hartmut joined the lab in 2005. He holds a degree as Diplomingenieur in architectural design from Bauhaus Universität Weimar and a PhD degree from The University of Hong Kong. Within the last decade Hartmut conducted research in the field of VR and AR. His research interests span from digital design, collaborative design support to software engineering for realtime applications. His expertise is in collaborative immersive design environments. In the HIT Lab NZ, Hartmut develops a non-programmers MagicBook software and is researching on the impact of user interfaces on design activities. He also works on various industry projects involving telepresence, robotics, multitouch interaction and immersive VR. Besides that, he is working and contributing to several open source projects which span from data management to real time visualization.
