Robert is beginning his PhD this year in the Computer Science department, with the HIT Lab NZ, working on collision avoidance for electric wheelchairs using possible combinations of ultrasonic sensors and computer vision. He worked with the HIT Lab NZon AR Worms and completed his honours degree in 2004 with the HIT Lab NZ working on the Lord of the Rings motion capture museum exhibit.
His academic interests include computer vision, computer graphics, game development, augmented reality, human computer interaction, artificial intelligence, etc.
